Friday Random Ten, Figs. Play along!

Bring Me Love - Marie Digby (Bring Me Love Single)

HA HA - Monsters Are Waiting (Fascination)

Again - Chris Hawkes (Guitar and Voice)

September Falls - The Little Heroes (Cinematic America)

Lay You Down - The Ruse (Invasion)

Lights - Careen (Crash Culture)

The Story Of - The Heavenly States (The Heavenly States)

Sim Time Sim Place (Nick Franglen (of Lemon Jelly) Remix) - Mark Mothersbaugh (The Sims 2: Nightlife)

Burned Another House Down - Parker Theory (Leaving California)

I feel like I'm channeling a really bad scripted teen 'reality' show today. However, just because silly shows feature good artists doesn't make the artists silly.

Okay, well maybe the fact that I have all The Sims soundtracks is silly...but I can't help it. Singing along to songs in a language that was made up for a computer game to baffle the people around you is hysterical.

Or maybe I'm just easily amused. You pick.

HotD:

I should be working.
Oh distraction, I love thee,
With your shiny things.

Friday Random Ten time, I promise to post more this next week. I've just been a wee bit stressed and I don't really want to share that with you Figments!

Here we go, open your playlists and hit shuffle.
1. "Nausea" - Beck (Nausea Single)

8. "Celtic Aggression" - Tonic (Lemon Parade)

9. "Caring Is Creepy" - The Shins (Oh, Inverted World)

10. "Oh Lately It's So Quiet" - OK Go (Oh No)

Favorite Song:
This one's hard because there are a few songs up there that are just fantastic. I really like "Oh Lately It's So Quiet" by OK Go and "Three More Days" by Ray Lamontagne and I recommend both for different reasons.

Least Favorite Song:
Probably "Nausea", although I really like Beck, I'm just not really liking the newest single. I think it's one of those songs that just grows on you after you hear it a bunch.

Favorite Album:
Ray Lamontagne's Till The Sun Turns Black is just wonderful. A nice mix of seriously well written quiet and relaxing pop/rock with some blues and folk thrown in for good measure. Very Morrison and Dylan-esc. Good stuff Figments, good stuff.

Seen Live:
Dude! I've seen Bob Dylan! Yay me!

HotD:

Twenty-four days left.

8."Anthem" - Phantom Planet (The Guest)

9."Chinese Translation" - M. Ward (Post-War)

10."Here I Am" - John Tumminello (Eventually)

Favorite Song:
I like "Here I Am", John Tumminello has fun, catchy music that have good lyrics and are just a blast to listen to.

Least Favorite Song:
"Spaceship Earth" is not one of my favorites from MARA.

Favorite Album:
Angie Aparo's Out Of The Everywhere is one of my favorites. I love Angie, and all of his albums have been awesome.

Seen Live:
The Dandy Warhols

Here's my list:

1. The Silvery Light Of A Dream, Pt. 2 - Apples In Stereo (Tone Soul Evolution)

2. Star Of The Sea - Mediaeval Baebes (Mirabilis)

8. Motel Room - Christopher Dallman (Race The Light)

9. Don't Wanna Know - Toby Lightman (Little Things)

10. The Perfect Summer - The Petit Project (6 Week Summer Vacation In Hell)

Favorite Song: Motel Room is awesome. Christopher Dallman is an amazing artist.

Least Favorite Song: Although I'm a huge fan of The Dandy Warhols, I Am Over It isn't one of my favorite songs of theirs. It's a good song, just not one of my favorites.

Favorite Album: Ah, that's hard. All of them are good albums. I think July For Kings' Swim is an awesome Post-Grungy album with good lyrics, good singing and catchy tunes. Although July For Kings is no more, I still love them!

Seen Live: You know, I need to go to more concerts, but I'm a broke little college student.

HotD:

10. Emotionless - The Better World (The Better World)

Favorite Song:
I'm so in love with Honor By August right now, it's sick They are so destined for mainstream radio play, and soon. Too bad they're not on the West Coast, I'd be a such groupie.

Least Favorite Song:
That's hard, they're all pretty good. Probably Bleeding From Within only because it's loud, and I'm not entirely in a loud mood today. Loud, but good!

Favorite Album:
The Better World's The Better World is fantastic. Give them a try!

Seen Live: None of them. Sad for me!
